French Country Canvas

Decided to make myself a few new canvas's to go in the kitchen. I love these Graphic 45 papers and they are a perfect match for my rustic style kitchen.
The background colour is a mixture of guacamole, chocolate pudding and orchid Fresco paints, spritzed with water then blended together for an aged look.
I'm entering this in to Ali-Crafts first challenge, anything goes.

Lovely Lavender with Lavinia Stamps

The challenge over at Lavinia Stamps this time is purple, not a colour I'm comfortable with, but have given it a go. I've built up quite a collection of their stamps over the years from Fishes to Fairies, but could I find my favourite stamp, no!!! So settled for another equally gorgeous Fairy falling from the sky instead. Good job Tracy doesn't have a shop as She is only half an hour away from me lol, it would be lethal!!!

Our Creative Corner

Spotted the theme over at "Our Creative Corner" and thought I'd share my re-cycled pen pot with you. It's made from an old baked beans tin with TH tatty flowers cut out of a foil tray, and painted with Mermaid Fresco paint. They have been attached with eyelets using the big bite. And finally I glued a scrap of pale blue ribbon from my stash around, as the flowers looked a little bit lost.
Love a good re-cycle!

LOTV challenge

Have had a lovely day getting inky, and topping up my card stash for the Country Market at the same time! It's been ages since I've had the luxury of a whole day playing in my workroom, but now my studies are done with, I have some spare time all for me!!!!
Love these little Bunnies they are so cute. I coloured them with promarkers and just added a touch a sparkle to the bubbles.

Dragons Dream TIO #144 Coastal, Mica and a Flourish/Crafty Individuals June Challenge

It's my turn over at Dragons Dream TIO to choose the theme, so how could I resist (this being the middle of Summer and all, and me living at the seaside),  having a coastal theme.
I've used a  chipboard  tag this time as I wanted a good solid base to work on.  The background was crated with a mixture of distress stains, mica powders and gilding wax. The sentiment is from Crafty Individuals and the flourishes are from HOTP.
You might have noticed I love Seahorses and they make an appearance whenever possible. This is one of Caroline's and has been painted up with Imagination Crafts mica powders, which are gorgeous in the flesh sadly photo's don't do them justice, finished off with Creative Expressions gilding wax and, erm, a snowflake!!!! Yep you read that correctly lol, the fin was made from an Alterations snowflake die using a couple of layers of tissue paper, see a snowflake is not just for Christmas lol.
Hope you pop along and join in our challenge this time, just please remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag. You will find a link to the challenge blog on my sidebar.
I'm also going to see if I can enter this in to Crafty Individuals June challenge as well.

Dragons Dream TIO #143 Red, Bookpages/Text and an Embellishment

Well I don't think I could post anything more different from yesterdays posting lol.
This time over at Dragons Dream TIO challenge Helen has chosen the recipe of "Red, Book pages/Text and an Embellishment". Red is another colour that I am sooooo out of my comfort zone, thus this tag is the third version!
The base started out as corrugated kraft card and was then hidden behind a mixture of paint, ink and of course gilding wax lol.
The text stamp is one of the Visual Artistry ones by TH along with the birdcage die, and also the Cherry Lyn leaves, which I love. My little flowers are my embellishment along with a few red gems.
We would love to see you join in our challenge just click on the link on the sidebar, and please don't forget to include at least one real stamp on your tag.

Sunday Stampers #261 Purple Haze

Hels theme this week over at Sunday Stampers is "Purple Haze" not a colour I use very often so I set myself a challenge lol.
This is the front cover for an art journal I'm working on, it's not finished yet but I thought I'd share what I'd made so far, and well you know I like anything and everything seaside!
All the stamps I've used are Glenda Waterworth's along with a cocktail of Paint, Promarkers, Distress Ink and not forgetting Gilding Wax, did I tell you I love that stuff lol.

Happy Friday!

Another offering with the same stencil yet again, I will put this one away and play with another one I promise lol. I bought this MDF tissue box a couple of years ago at the NEC from the WOW stand and just didn't know what I wanted to do with it till now, I am so pleased I waited as I love the end result, and this one isn't destined for the Country Market, it's mine!
Not often I make something for myself, might even do a photo frame while I'm on a roll. Elizabeth xx

Well I tidied up a bit.......................

After a long morning in work I decided that I would make a start on my workroom (yet again) and this time would not allow myself to be distracted by things I'd forgotten about. Well I sort of lasted about an hour before finding the MDF hearts that I'd painted up a couple of weeks back, and as I already had the paste and stencil out on my desk................................... I just couldn't help myself, I am an addict lol.
Might price this one up and take it to the country market in the morning. xxx

Sunday Stamper #260 I Dreamed a Dream

Some how I've managed a totally chilled out afternoon in my workroom. I drowned out the workmen outside with a mix of El Divo, Enrique and of course Bon Jovi, then got inky!
Thought I'd do a canvas for a change and as I need some as samples for a class later this year,  am getting prepared, not playing lol.
The Bunting and Dream letters were a free printable download I found on Pinterest, you can find them on my craft board if you want to pin them.
I used the very gorgeous Honeysuckle stencil from Imagination Crafts with paste, then painted the whole canvas white, before tinting the flowers and leaves with Promarkers. I've used a mixture of no-name stamps (sorry they are very old and I can't remember where they were from :) and some Kaisercraft stamps. Then wiped white paint over the top of the black ink to tone it down a bit. I've inked around all the edges with broken china Distress ink and then decided to add a little Sparkle Medium over the top, good job it washes off the fingers!
I have a whole day off tomorrow, now what shall I do, lol.
